Rob catches 1st time out on the steamies
At last the weather’s on the up and up, and even though water temperatures are well down for the time of year the fish are feeding once again. An afternoon session on my local day ticket venue giving the MX3 a tryout accounted for this nice 19lb 8oz common seen here wearing a nice unhooking mat.
No one about to do the photos, and no sacking, meant a quick snap on the mat and back in the lake. We’ve tried several of these new steamed baits this year, and have all caught well, but the MX3 combined with a little stick of crumbled Steamie just screams carp – see next months Big Carp for more captures.
